Artsakh Human Rights Ombudsman Artak Beglaryan announced today that as a result of war crimes committed from September 27 to October 4, 19 civilians have been killed and 80 wounded in Artsakh, and approximately 2,700 units of property and infrastructure have been damaged.
Among the 19 victims are 1 infant girl, 7 women and 11 men.
The deaths were recorded in Stepanakert (7 persons), Martuni (6 persons), Hadrut (1 person) and Martakert (3 persons), in the Alashan settlement of the Martakert region (1 person) and in a location adjacent to the Mets Shen community (1 person).
A total of approximately 80 people have been wounded, 60 of whom sustained serious injuries. Of these, 48 are male and 12 are female citizens.
According to preliminary data, more than 2,100 privately owned real estate properties (residential homes, shops, etc.), more than 240 vehicles, and approximately 350 infrastructure and production facilities have been seriously damaged.
“In Stepanakert and a number of other settlements, the Azerbaijani armed forces have deliberately and selectively begun targeting vital infrastructure, which is a most serious war crime, deepening the humanitarian crisis in Artsakh,” Beglaryan stressed.
