The number of beneficiaries of the Servicemen Insurance Fund has changed: families of 81 more hero servicemen who fell as a result of the war unleashed by the enemy on 27 September have received compensation.
Thus, the number of primary beneficiaries of the Fund is 4,024, of whom 3,608 are as a result of this latest war, and 416 became beneficiaries of the Fund before the 2020 war. You can view the list here.
The Servicemen Insurance Fund was established to provide social welfare and stable, equal insurance compensation to servicemen who fell, went missing, or acquired 1st or 2nd degree military disability while defending the borders of the homeland, and to their families.
The Fund’s resources are generated from mandatory monthly payments by persons earning income in Armenia and Artsakh, as well as from voluntary donations, which are also provided from the Diaspora.
