On 26 February, the election campaign for the nationwide elections scheduled for 31 March officially began in the Republic of Artsakh.
Masis Mayilyan and the “New Artsakh” alliance began their campaign today, 1 March, from Dadivank in the Shahumyan region, with a candlelight ceremony. We learn this from Masis Mayilyan’s Facebook page.
In the monastery courtyard, the presidential candidate and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Artsakh, Masis Mayilyan, met with supporters and spoke directly with the people in an informal atmosphere.
Let us recall that the ADL’s Artsakh body has joined the “Mayilyan-New Artsakh” alliance and supports the presidential candidate, Foreign Minister Masis Mayilyan.
It should be noted that on the first day of the campaign, Mayilyan made a post in which he said, in particular: “On the first day of the campaign, I want to once again emphasise the necessity of civilised competition and the inadmissibility of insulting the dignity of political opponents, about which I have had occasion to speak many times during the pre-election preparations. We have placed these principles at the foundation of the formation and cooperation of the ‘New Artsakh’ alliance of parties.
I once again call on all political forces and figures to also renounce the fake war and various manipulations. It must be understood that times have changed, and that the only way to be taken seriously and to have a future is, in every sense of the word, to step out of the shadows and engage in honest and open competition.
I personally begin the campaign with a clear conscience and openly, expecting the same from others.
Good journey to all.”
