Ankara has welcomed with satisfaction the decision of Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to participate in the Antalya Diplomatic Forum on March 11-13.
“Such reciprocal steps contribute to the expansion of dialogue between the two countries and the discussion of steps aimed at increasing trust for the purpose of full normalization,” said Tanju Bilgic, spokesperson for Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu had announced the invitation of Armenia to the Antalya Diplomatic Forum. Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had clarified that Ankara had extended the invitation in the name of himself and Ruben Rubinyan, Armenia’s representative in the Armenian-Turkish negotiations.
The foreign ministers of Armenia’s neighbors Iran, Georgia and Azerbaijan participated in the first forum held last year.
The Antalya Diplomatic Forum is a platform where state leaders, politicians, diplomats, scientists and businessmen invited from various countries of the world discuss geopolitical and regional issues, present their viewpoints, visions and prospects for solutions.
