The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, sent a message to the Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, on the occasion of the held early parliamentary elections. The message reads, in particular.
«Dear Mr. Pashinyan,
The logical resolution of the unstable internal political situation in the Republic of Armenia following the 44-day Azerbaijani-Turkish military aggression (attack) was the holding of early elections. I am glad that the state bodies and the people of the Republic of Armenia have managed to organize democratic elections, despite numerous external and internal difficulties and challenges.
Taking into account the preliminary results of the elections, I wish success to you and the team you lead on the path of realizing the trust received from the majority of voters. I hope that the election results will give the authorities of the Republic of Armenia the opportunity to strengthen the security and foreign policy positions undermined by the war, restore public solidarity in addressing nationwide issues, as well as to carry out consistent and effective work towards the protection of the rights of the Armenians of Artsakh, the elimination of the consequences of the war and the international recognition of the Republic of Artsakh.
I also wish success to the other political forces that have received a certain degree of public trust. I am convinced that every vote received must serve the nationwide interests and aspirations, in a stable, constructive and respectful political environment. The consequences of the war and the existing challenges leave us no other path than to face them head-on and, through united efforts, make the Republics of Artsakh and Armenia a safer and more prosperous homeland for our people, for the sake of our future generations and the endurance of the Armenian Homeland»:
