On 17 July, the emergency negotiations between the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation were summed up. This was announced by the RA Ministry of Defense’s Department of Information and Public Relations.
The delegation headed by the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces, Colonel-General Sergei Istriakov, who was in Armenia on a 5-day visit, presented the results of the negotiations and pointed out the next steps.
The Chief of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Artak Davtyan, expressed gratitude to the RF Armed Forces delegation for the close cooperation. The future directions of Armenian-Russian bilateral military cooperation were discussed, and a memorandum of interaction was signed.
