Armenia has sent a second shipment of humanitarian aid to Turkey, again crossing the Armenian-Turkish border. This was announced by Vahan Hunanyan, spokesperson for the Armenian Foreign Ministry, on his Twitter page.
“Armenia continues to send humanitarian aid to the regions affected by the earthquake. Late last evening, trucks loaded with a second batch of humanitarian aid crossed the Armenian-Turkish border via the Margara bridge,” Hunanyan wrote.
Armenia had sent the first batch of humanitarian aid to Turkey on 11 February. During negotiations with Armenia, the Turkish representative Serdar Kılıç stated that the Armenian side had sent 100 tons of aid to Adıyaman. The trucks crossed the Margara bridge in the Armavir province. This is one of the rare instances of crossing the closed Armenian-Turkish border since 1993.
