The foreign ministers of Armenia and China have expressed readiness to decisively strengthen and deepen Armenian-Chinese relations, according to Armenia’s foreign policy department, noting that Ararat Mirzoyan had a telephone conversation with Wang Yi.
The importance of utilizing the great potential in the field of economic cooperation, encouraging investments, developing infrastructure and overcoming logistical challenges was emphasized. In this context, the necessity of the process of unblocking the region’s road and economic infrastructure was stressed.
Presenting the Armenian side’s position regarding the establishment of peace and stability in the region, Ararat Mirzoyan underscored the significance of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan in various directions, as well as the role of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Both sides emphasized the viability of the existing internationally accepted negotiation format and the advancement of the peace process.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest on the regional and international agenda.
