Today at 12:40 p.m. an armed incident was registered on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia issued an official statement on this matter.
The source also noted that Azerbaijani armed forces opened fire towards Armenian combat positions located in the western section of the border, as a result of which two servicemen of the RA Armed Forces sustained gunshot wounds.
One of the soldiers, Sergeant Hrach Arami Manasaryan, succumbed to his wounds while being transported to hospital.
The statement notes that the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia shares the heavy grief of the loss and expresses solidarity with the family members, relatives and comrades-in-arms of the fallen serviceman.
As for the wounded, it is stated that there is no danger to the life of the other wounded soldier.
