Azerbaijan’s armed forces have struck military and civilian infrastructure in the direction of the Vardenis region, targeting the civilian population, as a result of which one civilian has been killed. This was announced by Anna Naghdalyan, press spokesperson of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs had issued a statement this morning, in which it noted that Azerbaijan is spreading disinformation, preparing the ground for launching military operations in the direction of the Vardenis region of the Republic of Armenia.
Minutes later, Azerbaijan’s armed forces struck military and civilian infrastructure in the direction of the Vardenis region, targeting the civilian population, as a result of which one civilian has been killed.
Disregarding the international community’s continued calls for a cessation of hostilities, Azerbaijan, with Turkey’s active encouragement and military-political support, is expanding the zone of military operations, also encompassing the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
The Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh will give an adequate military-political response to Azerbaijan’s consistent attempts to endanger regional security and peace,” Naghdalyan stated.
