The Artsakh Ministry of Health has reported that the results of the two samples sent to the Republic of Armenia the previous day were received today, one positive and one negative. This was announced by the Artsakh information headquarters.
Regarding the confirmed case, we consider it necessary to remind that the individual had been transported by ambulance on the morning of 2 April to the Kashatagh medical unit and isolated, because he had returned to Artsakh from the Republic of Armenia, from a settlement considered a “hotbed of infection.” The second citizen who was tested was the neighbor of the citizen returning from the Republic of Armenia, who on 4 April had been transported to the same medical unit with other issues, showing symptoms of bronchitis.
Taking into account the fact that the citizen, after returning from the Republic of Armenia to Artsakh, was in the village of Mirik in the Kashatagh region, in the preceding days all citizens who had contact with him, for safety considerations, had already self-isolated, numbering 17 citizens. These citizens currently show no symptoms.
The Artsakh Center for Epidemiology and Hygiene, after determining the circle of possible contacts with him, days ago carried out the necessary disinfection work at the homes of the self-isolated citizens.
It should be noted that the settlement is located 39 km from the regional center and 89 km from the capital.
After the citizen was isolated, the aforementioned settlement was placed under control.
