RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan advised the guests of the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT-2019) to be sure to enjoy Armenian wine, cognac, and the fruits and bounty of the land.
“Dear guests, technology is technology, but please do not miss the exceptional opportunity to enjoy Armenia’s sun-ripened fruits, unforgettable snacks, paradisiacal wines and cognac. And, of course, to enjoy the Armenian autumn, which is warm and hospitable, as always. I hope that WCIT has left time for all our guests to enjoy Armenia,” said Nikol Pashinyan.
The World Congress on IT was founded by the World Information Technology and Services Alliance. The congress is organised by the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE). This year’s WCIT theme is “The Power of Decentralization: Expectation and Danger.” During the congress, to be held October 6-9, there will be a thorough discussion of how information and communication technologies are transforming our lives in both positive and negative ways, and what impact they will have on prosperity and well-being, security and safety, democracy and humanity. More than 2,500 participants from 70 countries are expected at the Yerevan congress. The congress is being hosted in Armenia under the high patronage and with the support of the RA government.
