Essential supplies have been almost completely exhausted in the shops of Stepanakert, the capital of the Republic of Artsakh. Stepanakert Mayor Davit Sargsyan said this in an interview with NEWS.am.
“The shops are almost empty; groceries, oil, and sugar remain in few shops and in small quantities. No fruit or vegetables are left. There are cases where people are no longer being provided with these goods. We have no problem with flour and wheat; the bakeries are operating normally,” Sargsyan noted.
According to Sargsyan, only five percent of the city’s gasoline reserves remain, and cars are using gas as fuel.
Let us recall that since 12 December, Artsakh has been under blockade. Azerbaijanis have closed the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia.
