The vision formulated in the strategy for the transformation of Armenia until 2050 is as follows: to build a leading new industrial country in the world with a high standard of living, with competitive innovative, scientific, educational, cultural, healthcare, and economic capabilities.
Specifically, by 2050 … we will increase Armenia’s population to at least 5 million, multiply Armenia’s gross domestic product 20-fold, overcome poverty through work, create 1 million 500 thousand jobs, increase the average salary sevenfold, have one of the world’s most capable armies per capita, have one of the world’s 10 most effective intelligence services, make learning a national way of life, have at least 3 universities among the top 200 in international rankings of higher education institutions, make Armenia a high-tech industrial country, have at least 5 technology companies worth 10 billion dollars or more and at least 10 thousand employee startups, make a healthy lifestyle a national characteristic, increase life expectancy to 90 years, win 25 Olympic gold medals, win the title of World Individual Chess Champion, make the national football team a medalist in the European and/or World championship, increase the number of tourists visiting Armenia to 15 million annually, have an Armenia with a healthy environment, climate-resilient and efficiently using energy, and double Armenia’s forested areas.
