Thirty years ago, on 3 March, the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund was established by decree of the President of the newly independent Republic of Armenia.
On this occasion, the Fund issued the following statement.
“Since that significant day, the Fund has worked for the welfare of Armenia and Artsakh, implementing more than 1,500 programmes in healthcare, education, infrastructure restoration, housing construction, community development and a number of other fields.
“Over the past three decades, 1.5 million donors from all corners of the world have contributed more than 500 million dollars to the most important programmes implemented in Armenia and Artsakh, supporting more than 800,000 beneficiaries.
“Our partners and volunteers throughout the world, pooling their resources and efforts, have rendered indescribable support to the Fund’s activities. Many have stood by the Fund from the very first day, and today we celebrate their dedication over three decades.
“We thank each one of you for your great devotion to and support for the people of Armenia, Artsakh and the entire Diaspora.
“Thirty years ago began the long road of the Hayastan Fund’s large-scale activities, but it still has far to go. We can and must unite and walk that road together.”
