Speaking at the extraordinary session of the CSTO Collective Security Council, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that tensions are not decreasing in the organization’s area of responsibility, and member states continue to face new threats.
“The current situation in Kazakhstan raises concern regarding information about the involvement of international terrorist organizations. In the recent past we ourselves have encountered the emergence of foreign terrorists in our region,” Pashinyan said.
According to Pashinyan, one of the key priorities of Armenia’s chairmanship in the CSTO is the strengthening of the Organization’s crisis response mechanisms.
