Azerbaijan is acting with absolute impunity on the Lachin corridor issue, disregarding the statements and status of international organizations. Artsakh Human Rights Defender Gegham Stepanyan wrote this on his Twitter page.
“In this situation, the only realistic step is the application of sanctions against Azerbaijan. International actors must decide whether the lives of starving people matter, or economic and other interests,” Stepanyan wrote.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan, citing false environmental pretexts, has continued to keep the Lachin corridor—the only road connecting Artsakh to the world—closed since December 12.
