Within the framework of bilateral cooperation between the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation, in accordance with the agreement reached between the defense ministers of Armenia and Russia, David Tonoyan and Sergey Shoygu, a group of specialists from the Russian armed forces has arrived in the Republic of Armenia to assist in the prevention of the spread of the new coronavirus infection and the organization of anti-epidemic measures, as well as to share experience and practical knowledge.
The group is equipped with a mobile laboratory capable of conducting COVID-19 tests and a disinfection system. Placed at the disposal of the Ministry of Defense, these systems will make it possible to conduct testing of the personnel of the Armenian armed forces and the Russian 102nd military base stationed in Armenia.
The tests carried out among target groups will greatly contribute to the organization of preventive measures and will significantly increase the effectiveness of anti-epidemic measures.
We will present the details in a video in the coming hours. This was announced by the press secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Shushan Stepanyan.
