Yesterday, on 17 September, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, arrived in Armenia.
At the airport, Pelosi was welcomed by the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, and the US Ambassador to Armenia, Lynne Tracy. It should be noted that this is Pelosi’s first visit to Armenia.
During her visit to Armenia, lasting from 17 to 19 September, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Pelosi, will meet with
the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, and other high-ranking officials, to discuss Armenian-American relations and the current security situation.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Pelosi, will hold a press conference, lay a wreath at the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex, and deliver a speech at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts. The speech will be broadcast live via the link www.speaker.gov/newsroom.
The delegation includes the Chairman of the US House Committee on Energy and Commerce, Frank Pallone, and members of the House of Representatives, Anna Eshoo and Jackie Speier.
