Armenia may be interested in the “3+3” negotiation format if it becomes clear that issues in which Armenia is engaged through other formats will not be discussed on this platform. During a question-and-answer session addressed to the government, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this, responding to the question of Civil Contract faction deputy Hripsime Grigoryan about Armenia’s position regarding the “3+3” format.
The Prime Minister noted that this issue was discussed with Russian partners and there is a signal that they too share the Armenian side’s viewpoint.
“In the coming days, if I am not mistaken, on December 10, a meeting similar to a preliminary session of the 3+3 or 3+2 format is to take place, in which Armenia will participate at the level of Deputy Foreign Minister, because that pre-meeting will take place in that format, where next steps will be discussed. The continuation will be according to the results of that discussion,” said Pashinyan.
