The combat call of the Artsakh Defense Army commander, Major General Jalal Harutyunyan:
Compatriots,
Roughly four years after the military operations of 2016, the enemy has again resorted to the force of arms, believing that in this way it will be able to resolve the Artsakh issue in its favor. On the morning of 27 September, after missile and artillery preparation and drone strikes, the Azerbaijani army went on the offensive along the entire length of the line of contact. At this moment, the Defense Army units, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy, are successfully thwarting its plans. Those plans have long been known to us; their essence can be expressed in one phrase: to empty Artsakh and Armenia of Armenians.
Be assured, once again the enemy will fail. Victory will not come easily. True to its nature, the enemy will target peaceful settlements and the civilian population; it will make no distinction between a soldier and a young child, a clergyman and an elderly woman, a grown man and a helpless old man. Its target is all of us. Victory will demand an extreme exertion of forces and ironclad unity. Now all disagreements, all viewpoints, all opinions must be set aside. Our goal is one: to crush the enemy by all possible means, to deliver devastating blows to its armed gangs, to destroy its military infrastructure, and, if necessary, to expand the security zone and impose a final peace.
To accomplish this task, the efforts of all of us must be united.
Our victory has no alternative: we are defending the graves of our ancestors and the future of our children. We are defending our ancestors’ right to live on their land.
With us is the entire Armenian people.
With us is justice.
With us is God.
Victory will be ours!
