The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, Lieutenant General Onnik Gasparyan, has issued a message regarding Azerbaijan’s attack, stating that the units of the Defense Army are successfully thwarting the enemy’s plans while inflicting considerable losses upon it.
According to information conveyed by the Department of Information and Public Relations of the RA Ministry of Defense, Gasparyan’s message states: “Generals, officers, sergeants, and soldiers of Armenia’s glorious army, my comrades-in-arms,
The time has come once more to affirm the glory of Armenian military might. Our freedom and independence, earned at the cost of thousands of lives and the blood of the finest sons of Armenia, are again in danger.
Azerbaijan, drawing on the multifaceted support of Turkey, the centuries-old enemy of our nation, has not reconciled itself with the crushing defeat it suffered in the military operations it provoked in April 2016 in Artsakh and in July 2020 in the north-east of the Republic of Armenia, and has again unleashed war. Along the entire length of the front line, the Defense Army is currently carrying out missile, artillery, and air strikes, while simultaneously subjecting civilian settlements to shelling.
