In accordance with the agreement reached with the authorities of the Republic of Artsakh, on 21 August the OSCE mission conducted a monitoring of the ceasefire regime on the line of contact between the armed forces of Artsakh and Azerbaijan, at the Omar Pass.
The monitoring was conducted from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh and from the positions of the Defense Army of the Republic of Artsakh by the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, and the field assistants of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ghenadie Petrika (Moldova), as well as Simon Tiller (United Kingdom).
From the opposite side of the line of contact, the monitoring was conducted by the field assistant of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Mikhail Olaru (Moldova), and office staff member Martin Schuster (Germany).
The monitoring passed according to the planned schedule.
The monitoring mission was accompanied from the Artsakh side by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Artsakh.
