Yerevan hopes that the Russian-Ukrainian negotiations will yield results, and that diplomacy will be able to silence the cannons. This was stated by Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan during an event held at the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet on the occasion of Armenia’s membership in the UN and the Day of the Armenian Diplomat, emphasizing that at this event dedicated to diplomacy, he could not fail to address the events taking place in Ukraine.
“We follow the unfolding events with a heavy heart, events which, it is now already evident, will have global (worldwide) consequences. Our hope is that the Russian-Ukrainian negotiations scheduled for today will take place and yield results, and that diplomacy will be able to silence the cannons,” the Prime Minister of Armenia concluded his speech with these words.
Earlier, an adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Oleksiy Arestovych, had stated that the second round of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations scheduled in Belarus would take place on the evening of 2 March.
