President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian attended the opening of the World Economic Forum, titled “Stakeholders for a Cohesive and Sustainable World,” in Davos, Switzerland.
Over its 50 years of activity, the annual Davos meeting has become one of the world’s most influential high-level gatherings, bringing together each year leaders of states, governments, international organizations, representatives of the business community and renowned experts to discuss global, regional and industry agendas and to propose solutions to existing problems and challenges. This year, some 700 speakers from different countries of the world and more than 3,000 participants are attending the forum.
The President of Armenia was also present at the 26th annual Crystal Award ceremony held within the framework of the Davos forum.
This year, the forum recognized as winners artists Thistle Gates, Lynette Wallworth, choreographer Jin Shin and actress Deepika Padukone, for their exceptional contribution to ensuring societal sustainability, inclusivity and raising awareness about mental health.
