The press secretary of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Mane Gevorgyan, addressed the remarks of Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan in a Facebook post.
“I believe Mr. Tsarukyan is simply concerned about the course of a number of criminal cases related to money laundering, vote-buying, tax evasion, and corruption. If Mr. Tsarukyan thinks that his political statements will divert the normal course of the investigation, that is a miscalculation, because in Armenia everyone is equal before the law, including before the law on the confiscation of illegally acquired assets, which Mr. Tsarukyan may also have reason to be concerned about,” she wrote.
