The report approved by the RA government’s February 28, 2022 decision “On the report on the course and results of the implementation of the Government of the Republic of Armenia program (2021-2026) for 2021” was presented at the meeting of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security Issues of the National Assembly. RA Deputy Minister of Defense Arman Sargsyan noted the previous year’s replenishments of the RA Armed Forces.
“The Armed Forces have been replenished with helicopters, UAVs, rocket-artillery, anti-tank, artillery communication, engineering, infantry, military intelligence equipment, armored vehicles and others. The replenishment is carried out based on the calculation of existing needs resulting from structural changes, with part of the supplies planned to be carried out through the organizations of the RA military-industrial complex,” said Sargsyan.
The Deputy Minister also noted that for the purpose of meeting the needs of the Armed Forces for 2022-2024, contracts have been signed with organizations of the military-industrial sector for the acquisition, repair and technical maintenance of air defense, rocket-artillery, communication, military intelligence and other equipment.
