The Russian peacekeeping mission’s contingent has handed over to the State Service of Emergency Situations the remains of another serviceman discovered from the northeastern direction (Mataghis).
His identity is to be established after a forensic examination.
The total number of bodies and remains discovered or handed over during search operations following the ceasefire is 1705.
Negotiations are currently underway to resume search operations.
