“Russia welcomes the Armenia-Turkey normalization process,” stated the head of Russian diplomacy, Sergey Lavrov, after negotiations with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
The Russian foreign minister also touched upon the “3+3” format created with the participation of the South Caucasus and neighboring countries, once again emphasizing that Moscow wishes for official Tbilisi to also join it.
“Georgia is still deliberating over joining this promising format, but we will always be ready to see our Georgian partners at the sessions of that structure,” Lavrov said.
