The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia has commented on the statement by Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov that Azerbaijan has repeatedly proposed to Armenia to sign a peace treaty.
Vahan Hunanyan, the press spokesperson of the RA MFA, also commented on the statement by Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu regarding the so-called “Zangezur corridor.”
“The RA government has adopted a strategy to open an era of peaceful development for Armenia and the region, and naturally, it is demonstrating readiness to take steps in that direction. As for signing a precise peace treaty, it has been stated several times at the highest level that this is among the government’s agenda priorities.
As for the so-called ‘Zangezur corridor,’ for us that is an incomprehensible formulation, and everyone knows about this. On the other hand, the opening of regional communications is also among the government’s priorities, and concrete steps are being taken in this direction, including within the framework of the ‘Armenian Crossroads’ project.”
