Snow, Ice, Fog: Closed and Difficult-to-Pass Roads in the Republic of Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of 22:45 on 5 December, there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia. The Sotk-Karvachar road is difficult to pass, and for trucks, it is open with the use of tire chains. The Vardenyats Pass (from the Gegharkunik Province side) is closed for trucks, and difficult to pass for others. In the Mastara and Aparan regions of Aragatsotn Province, and on the Goris-Sisian road in Syunik Province, there is ice.

Snow is falling in the cities of Kapan and Kajaran in Syunik Province.

Fog is present in the city of Abovyan in Kotayk Province, at the Vardenyats Pass, in the city of Goris in Syunik Province, and on the Saravan-“Zanger” road.
