State of Emergency in Armenia Extended Until 13 July

The government, at an extraordinary session on 12 June, adopted a decision to extend the state of emergency in the country by a further 30 days, until 13 July, 17:00 inclusive. A state of emergency had been declared in the country on 16 March and had been extended until 14 May, and then until 13 June. “The reasons for which the state of emergency was declared continue to exist, and in order to ensure a proper and effective mechanism to respond to them, it is necessary to extend the state of emergency once again,” said Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan.
