RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is convinced that there are currently no cases of envelope-wage payments in the state system, and there should not be any. The Prime Minister calls on people to report such cases if they notice them. Pashinyan assured this in the National Assembly during a question-and-answer session with government members, responding to a question from Mane Tandilyan, a deputy of the Bright Armenia faction.
The Prime Minister specifically said: “As for the current members of the government, I do not have the habit of interrogating ministers, nor do I have the desire. And when, eventually, law-enforcement bodies become so effective that they manage to deal with all my statements, I think that means we have achieved serious systemic successes,” the Prime Minister said, and stressed that there is no need to instruct law-enforcement bodies to deal with this matter.
He noted that such a process can take place between two people, and not everything related to uncovering such processes is easy. “In any case, at the moment when I made such a statement, and even long before that, this phenomenon had already been stopped; the existence of such a phenomenon is excluded. And if you suddenly have such information, I ask you to definitely report it. Such a thing does not exist and should not exist,” Pashinyan assured.
