The Defense Army has announced that on 27 September 2020, while under encirclement, disregarding the danger and not abandoning their combat position, with personal bravery and independent combat missions, they destroyed the enemy’s manpower and military equipment: the commander of the control platoon of the 82-millimeter mortar battery, Lieutenant Sasun Hagopyan; the platoon commander, Senior Lieutenant Artur Abrahamyan; and the gunner, Private Mikael Manukyan.
All three have been nominated for the Artsakh Medal for Valor.
