President of the Republic of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan sent a congratulatory message on 2 September on the occasion of the Day of the Republic of Artsakh.
As reported by the press office of the President of the Republic of Artsakh, the message reads in part:
«Dear compatriots,
On behalf of the authorities of Artsakh and personally on my own behalf, I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the occasion of the Day of the Republic of Artsakh, our most important state holiday.
On 2 September 1991, our people realised their long-cherished sacred dream — to determine their own destiny, to live in a free and independent homeland while preserving and cherishing national values and traditions, faith and language. That was a difficult but honourable path, which we traversed hand in hand with our sisters and brothers of the motherland Armenia and the diaspora, together overcoming all difficulties and trials, together forging great victories.
And today too, with joint efforts we pave the path we chose 28 years ago, protecting and developing the Republic of Artsakh, consistently and continuously strengthening our independent and democratic state, laying a solid foundation for the secure future of generations.
Dear compatriots,
Once again I congratulate you all on the occasion of this memorable holiday and wish peace, good health and the greatest successes, for the glory of our homeland’s prosperity and the well-being of our people»:
