RA Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan gave an interview to the Interfax agency.
In response to the question of whether he agrees that Turkey’s support for Baku “pours oil on the fire” and removes the possibility of resolving the issue, the minister noted:
“Since 12 July, the international community has made numerous calls for calm and for an end to the violence.
The only country that tried not to reduce tensions but to introduce more instability into the region was Turkey. Turkey’s destabilising policy and hostility pose a threat to all its neighbouring regions.
Today Turkey is trying to ‘export’ its destabilising policy to the South Caucasus region. This causes serious concern.
Turkey pursues a destructive and dangerous policy. Through its actions, Turkey continues to be a threat to Armenia’s security. In this regard, Armenia will work to further strengthen its security, including through cooperation with its partners,” said the head of the RA Foreign Ministry.
