Former governor of Shirak Province Karen Sarukhanyan has stated on his Facebook page that the volunteers who left Shirak Province and found themselves in the blockade are already on Armenian territory.
“The volunteers who left Shirak Province and found themselves in the blockade in the area of the villages of Hin Shen and Nor Shen are already on Armenian territory.
Let me say more: among the volunteers were the heads of 2 enlarged communities, deputy heads of communities, administrative heads, who firmly held their entrusted positions and yielded them only to our brothers whose shift had come, and after midnight we will already be welcoming our volunteers in Shirak Province.
I am confident that consistent work is being done to resolve the problems that have arisen in other problematic positions.
Dear people, believe me, each of us is doing everything in an emergency mode to the extent of our abilities, so that our brothers return safe and sound, without incident, to their warm homes, and our positions remain impregnable.
I want to express special thanks to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Avinyan and the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office Eduard Aghajanyan, who, by maintaining daily contact with me and the volunteers over the past 5 days and studying the created situation in detail, had a great role in this most important work,” he wrote.
