During 2021, 1,463 babies were born in the medical institutions of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh — 734 boys and 729 girls. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh.
22 of the births were twins.
It is noted that 3 boys were born through in vitro fertilization. 78 babies were born in the medical institutions of the Republic of Armenia. Thus, the total birth rate in the Republic of Artsakh in 2021 was 1,541 babies, of whom 779 were boys and 762 were girls.
