Two more individuals in the Republic of Artsakh have tested positive for the coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases to 3. According to Armenpress, this was reported by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh.
“Of the three citizens tested today, two have tested positive. One of them is the daughter-in-law of the infected person confirmed on 7 April, who had already been self-isolating since 2 April. The second is a citizen of the Republic of Armenia who entered Artsakh from the Republic of Armenia, and it was determined when filling out their personal card that they had come from a high-risk area.
That citizen was also in self-isolation before the test, and will soon be transferred to the Republic of Armenia,” the ministry stated.
Given the fact that the second person infected with the confirmed coronavirus, registered in the Moshataqh community, had voted on election day, 31 March, in the neighbouring Moshataqh community of Mirik, specialists from the Kashataqh regional branch of the “Epidemiology and Hygiene Centre” SNCO of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh have been carrying out enhanced service there for several days, and the village residents, urged by the authorities, have been self-isolating in their homes.
Additional information about the work being carried out will be provided later.
The first case of the coronavirus in Artsakh was recorded on 7 April.
