Armenia’s tourism sector in dire straits

According to data presented by the Tourism Committee, in the first three months of this year, compared to the same period last year, the number of tourists visiting Armenia decreased by 175,000. It should be noted, however, that the first months of the year are traditionally considered unfavourable months from a tourism standpoint, and travel companies and hotels begin the tourism season in April. Consequently, they are forced to simply wait until the new “Corona” virus finally recedes and air traffic is restored.
