Defense Minister Suren Papikyan today visited a military unit to observe the organization of service as defined by the day’s schedule.
The Ministry of Defense stated that such visits will be ongoing and will also have a surprise nature.
“The purpose of the surprise visits is to become familiar on the spot with the course of service organization, the discipline and moral-psychological state of servicemen, social and living conditions, the furnishing of the front line, and the progress of ongoing construction work.
In case of an indifferent attitude toward service, non-regulatory relationships, an insufficient level of discipline, and other such shortcomings being observed, those responsible will be punished.
2023 must be a year of correcting mistakes, diligent work, and straightening the army’s backbone,” was stated in the Ministry of Defense’s announcement.
