As a result of the large-scale military operations unleashed by Azerbaijan with the active support of Turkey from the early morning of 27 September along the entire Artsakh-Azerbaijan line of contact, more than 24,000 children of the Republic of Artsakh have been deprived of the opportunity to exercise their right to education—to attend school. This was reported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.

Despite its international commitments, Azerbaijan continues to shell even educational institutions with weapons prohibited by the standards of international law. As a result of the military attack, the buildings and auxiliary structures of more than 10 schools, as well as a number of kindergartens, have been damaged. Because of the Azerbaijani attack, thousands of children have also been deprived of the opportunity to attend kindergarten, and young people are not continuing their education in higher education institutions.
