A 270-metre-high, 71-storey skyscraper is to be built in Yerevan. According to Armenpress, this was stated during a conversation with journalists by Mary Mkrtchyan, director of the Laura Investment company, which is initiating the project.

“The development of the programme is already nearing completion, and design work is beginning, which will take about 2 years, after which construction work will proceed for up to 5 years. It is not only a multifunctional residential complex, but, as we envisage, on 200 hectares there will be apricot orchards, playgrounds, a family recreation zone and a cable car. All of that — at affordable conditions,” said Mkrtchyan.

Mary Mkrtchyan noted that all seismic risks have been calculated, and the construction will be safe. During the construction work, around 1,300 jobs will be created, and after their completion, according to preliminary estimates, 2,500 jobs will be opened along with the operation of the building.

An investment of about 270 million dollars is envisaged for the construction of the multifunctional complex. Mary Mkrtchyan noted that in the future they plan to cooperate with the company “Baynona Architectural Consultancy” of the United Arab Emirates, with which they have signed a memorandum.

“Since ‘Baynona’ is advanced in their region and has considerable experience, we will try to carry out joint activities with them,” noted Mkrtchyan.

The complex is to be called “Forget-Me-Not”; it will be built in the southern part of the capital, in the vicinity of Admiral Isakov Avenue.
