The rapid response special units of the Rescue Forces Department of the State Emergency Service continue to carry out rescue and search operations in the settlements and positional zones that have come under enemy control since 13 November 2020. This was reported by the Emergency Situations Service of Artsakh.
On 18 January, the operations were carried out in the directions of Hadrut, Mekhakavan/Jabrayil/ and Vorotan/Qubadli/. Eight more bodies were found, one of which was a civilian.
The identity of the latter is known. He is Arsen Ghahramanyan, a resident of Hadrut, born in 1976. His body was found in the territory of the village of Aygestan in the Hadrut district.
Five more bodies were found in Mekhakavan, one in Aygestan, and one body from the former administrative territory of the village of Davit Bek in the Syunik Province.
In total, thanks to the search operations, the rescuers of Artsakh have so far found the bodies of 1,246 servicemen and civilians who participated in the military operations. Relatives of the servicemen and volunteer guides familiar with the area are also participating in the search operations.
The operations are currently underway in the districts of Varanda/Fizuli/, Jrakan/Jabrayil/, Hadrut, Kovsakan/Zangelan/ and in the former administrative territory of the town of Meghri in the Syunik Province.
