The Hayastan All-Armenian Fund held its 22nd national fundraising telethon under the title “My Dear Armenia: Life-Giving Water and Sun for Communities,” during which $9,856,100 was raised.
This year, the first 4 hours of the 12-hour telethon took place in Yerevan, while the remaining 8 hours were broadcast from Los Angeles.
The funds raised during 2019 will be allocated to the implementation of drinking water and solar energy projects in Artsakh, as well as in three provinces of Armenia — Tavush, Lori and Shirak. In total, more than one hundred communities will have permanent drinking water and electricity.
Last year, during “Telethon-2018,” the Fund raised $11,109,633.
