The serious geopolitical processes taking place in the world, and especially the ongoing conflicts and the complex military-political situation in the Caucasus, are creating a difficult situation for our homeland and a threat to the national security of our state.
In the race of the great powers struggling to define a sphere of influence, maintain control, and secure their political and military presence in the South Caucasus and the Caucasian region in general, Armenia has found itself in a rather complex and sensitive situation.
Here, our age-old enemy, Turkey, is also pursuing its vital interests.
Thus, in this period fraught with tense and dangerous developments, we are required to be vigilant, to stay away from all kinds of adventurous declarations and modes of action, so as not to allow our homeland to fall victim to the confrontation underway between the West and Russia.
The perilous tendencies that have come to light as a result of regional processes do not allow us to keep the internal political arena tense and resort to adventurous steps, but rather dictate that we be restrained and careful in our actions and activities.
Reaffirming once again that our national interests, the security of the Armenian people, and the preservation of our state’s independence are placed above all kinds of politics, whims, preferences, and factional interests, the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party addresses a call for vigilance to all political forces and organizations that have taken responsibility for the salvation of our country and state, as well as to all national structures and individuals who agitate the people, that in their positions they be guided solely by our national, sacred interests and priorities.
We must never lose sight of the fact that our supreme task is the preservation of Armenia’s existence, for which we are obliged to pursue an entirely sensible and flexible policy.
