According to a report by the Russian service RIA Novosti, an agreement has been reached on the Syunik issue.
This was stated today by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
The Russian official said in particular, “There have been no shootings or clashes there. They sat down, talked, and calmly agreed on what to do to defuse the situation. They asked us for support, and our military provided support,” Lavrov said.
Lavrov also noted that there is no reason to further inflame tensions.
It should be noted that Lavrov made these statements during a joint press conference held at the conclusion of negotiations with Sierra Leone’s Foreign Minister David John Francis.
