A delegation representing the Central Board of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party, headed by Central Board Chairman Mike Kharapyan, visited the Yerablur Pantheon this morning.
As you know, today marks the 20th anniversary of one of the most heinous days in the recent history of the Armenian people, the October 27 crime.
On this occasion, the members of the ADL Central Board wanted to pay their respects to the immortal memory of the national and state dignitaries who fell victim to a treacherous and vile crime in the RA National Assembly in 1999.
Visiting Yerablur, the members laid flowers at the tombstone of Vazgen Sargsyan, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia in 1999, recalling and noting that this event has not been erased from the memory of our people, and that Armenia and the Armenian people today continue to demand that the true perpetrators of that crime, which undermined the foundations of our state, be punished and that all its details be revealed.
The members of the ADL Central Board also affirmed that, regardless of all kinds of party and ideological differences, the concept of the national state and statehood continues to remain the most important guarantee for the eternity of our people and the realization of its ultimate goals, also noting that the October 27 crime should become an occasion to elevate the idea of statehood above all times and all kinds of differences, and as an eternal goal.
