Armen Sargsyan, the Consul General of the Republic of Armenia, who recently completed his service in Aleppo, has been appointed to the worthy position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Qatar.
Among those who paid farewell visits prior to the conclusion of the homeland diplomat’s tenure in Aleppo was a delegation representing the Tekeyan Cultural Association of Aleppo and the Regional Board of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party, headed by Chairman Garo Shushanyan.
The members of the delegation highly praised the important and constructive mission carried out in Aleppo by the universally respected Mr. Armen Sargsyan, welcoming the warm attitude he displayed toward the Armenian community of Aleppo during his service, as well as his efforts in strengthening the historic fraternal Armenian-Arab ties.

He expressed his conviction that today the Armenians of Aleppo have entered a new phase of self-organization and revival, in which all national institutions play a major role.
At the end of the meeting, the delegation, as a sign of gratitude, presented the consul with a souvenir and a certificate of appreciation, once again commending his broad-minded and devoted service to the colony of Aleppo and its people, and wishing him ever-new successes in his future endeavors.
