On Thursday, September 8, a cordial meeting took place in Jerusalem between the ADL circle leadership and the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security of the RA National Assembly, Mr. Andranik Kocharyan, who had arrived from Armenia.
During the meeting, a reception was also held at the luxurious “Nafoura” restaurant.
Present at the meeting were members of the R.A.D.L. Central Board — Vice-Chairman Hagop Andreasian and Nshan Balyan, as well as the Chairman of the ADL Jerusalem Regional Board, Hagop Panosyan, former members of the ADL Central Board, Hagop Sheohmelian and Saro Naggashian, former Chairman of the Armenian Youth Union, Hagop Galayjian, and administrative colleagues.
A welcome address was delivered by the Vice-Chairman of the R.A.D.L. Central Board, Hagop Andreasian. In a cordial and sincere atmosphere, Mr. Andranik Kocharyan provided broad and valuable information on matters pertaining to the Homeland’s foreign and domestic policy, around which a discussion unfolded.
It should be noted that the Chairman of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Defense and Security, Mr. Andranik Kocharyan, is in Jerusalem within the framework of a charitable program jointly developed between the committee he heads and the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem. He is leading a group of soldiers who became disabled as a result of the 44-day war in 2020, who, by visiting Jerusalem, are making a pilgrimage to the holy sites of the Holy Land and becoming acquainted with the rich history and activities of the local Armenian Patriarchate.
The program is periodic in nature. This time, the arriving group will be in Jerusalem from September 6 to 11.
